I trained as a Psychotherapist in Cork Institue of Technology graduating with a B.A.(Hons) degree.
I have also completed my training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (C.B.T) , at The International Academy For Profesional Development in London. In addition I have participated in various workshops ranging from Attacment & Psychopathology, Critical Incident Stress Managment and Suicide Prevention. I have extensive experience working with teenagers and young adults, as well as working with people experiencing dificulties with relationships both personal and work related.
In addition to my professional training, I am an accredited member of the I.A.C.P (The Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), and I work in accordance to their Code of Ethics.
My Earlier background is in business, however I changed my career directon and went into the field of Sports Science and Holisitic Therapies, which eventually led me to where I am now.
I work as an Integrative Pschotherpaist, which means taking into account many views of human functioning. The aim of integrative psychotherapy is to facilitate wholeness such that the quality of the person's being and functioning is improved.
I also Offer C.B.T which is a type of psychotherapeutic treatment that helps clients to understand the thoughts and feelings that influence behaviors. C.B.T is commonly used to treat a wide range of disorders including phobias, addictions, depression, and anxiety.
Mindfullness is also a part of my practice, allowing clients to reduce stress and cultivate better living.
