I trained as a Psychotherapist in Cork Institute of Technology graduating with a B.A.(Hons) degree.

I trained as a Supervisor with I.C.P.P.D Athlone

I have also completed my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (C.B.T) , at The International Academy For Professional Development in London. In addition I have participated in various workshops ranging from Attachment & Psychopathology, Critical Incident Stress Management Suicide Prevention and Sexual health. I have extensive experience working with teenagers and young adults, as well as working with people experiencing difficulties with relationships both personal and work related.

I also work in adult education delivering classes on Psychology. 

 

 

In addition to my professional training, I am a fully accredited member of the I.A.C.P (The Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), and I work in accordance to their Code of Ethics.

 

My Earlier background is in business, however I changed my career direction and went into the field of Sports Science and Holistic Therapies, which eventually led me to where I am now.

 

I work as an Integrative Psychotherapist, which means taking into account many views of human functioning. The aim of  integrative psychotherapy is to facilitate wholeness such that the quality of the person's being and functioning is improved. 

 

I also Offer C.B.T  which is a type of psychotherapeutic treatment that helps clients to understand the thoughts and feelings that influence behaviors. C.B.T is commonly used to treat a wide range of disorders including phobias, addictions, depression, and anxiety.

 

Mindfulness is also a part of my practice, allowing clients to reduce stress and cultivate better living.

I offer Supervision to Counsellors, Psychotherapists and anyone in a helping profession. As my supervision qualification is in cross professional supervision, I facilitate team building and conflict resolution to organizations and groups.
